Ans.     The competition is usually announced during the month of Jumad-ul-Sania through advertisement in daily newspaper and on social media platforms of the Ministry

Q2.      What is the last date for submission of books and Maqalat?

Ans.     The last date for submission of books and Maqalat is normally two months from the date of the announcement of the competitions.

Ans.     National Seerat and Naat Book Competition is held in the following nine categories:

Q5.      What are the Terms and Conditions for participation in National Seerat and Naat Book Competition?

Ans.     Terms and Conditions are mentioned in the advertisement of the competition published in newspapers and on the social media platforms of the Ministry.

Q7.      What is Website Evaluation Cell?

Ans.     Website Evaluation Cell (WEC) has been established in Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Islamabad to register complaints regarding religiously objectionable and blasphemous content available on website and social media platforms.

Q8.     How does WEC work?

Ans.     WEC analyses the report links containing religiously objectionable and blasphemous content and report such content to PTA and FIA for blocking or any other necessary actions.

Q9.     How to report any objectionable online link to WEC?

Ans.     Any person can report any objectionable online link to WEC via its email address which is:

Q10.    How many links have been evaluated so far?       

Ans.     So far more than 50 thousand links have been evaluated by WEC and recommendations have been forwarded to PTA and FIA for necessary actions.

 

Q11.    Suggestion that Government should take steps to prevent second/subsequent marriages without first wife’s permission?

Ans.     The section 6 of Muslim Family Law Ordinance, 1961, provides the detailed procedure to be followed by husband (intending to do 2nd or subsequent marriages) which includes taking permission from first wife before doing 2nd marriage. The said provision also provides punishment in case of non-compliance by the husband.

 

Q12.    What is the structure of Ruet-e-Hilal Committees in Pakistan?

Ans.     There is a Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee at Federal level. To help the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Zonal and District Ruet-e-Hilal Committees in each Province and District have been constituted by the respective Provincial and District Governments. A Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee at Islamabad Capital Territory is also working..The member of central, zonal & district Reut-e-Hilal committee are working on honorary basis.

Ans.     To determine the new Islamic month and to announce of new moon.
