Interfaith Harmony Activities/Public Awareness

In addition to IH Conferences / Seminars, the ministry celebrates important           religious festivals of minority communities at official level. These festivals   include Christmas and Easter for Christians, Holi and Diwali for Hindus,   Baisakhi and Birthday of Guru Nanak for Sikhs, Nauroze for Zoroastrian, Eid-e- Ridvan for Baha’i’s, Festival of Lights for Buddhist community and Chelum Jusht for Kalash people. Celebrations of these events have brought all segments of society closer to each other for peaceful co-existence.

 

          Details of celebration of these festivals since 2015 onward is as under:-

 

  • Holi-2015, of Hindu community celebrated at official level on 12th March, 2015 at PNCA, Islamabad.
  • Easter-2015, of Christian community has been celebrated at official level on 7th April, 2015 at PNCA, Islamabad.
  • Eid-e-Ridvan-2015, of Bahai’s community has been celebrated at official level on 24th April, 2015 at PNCA, Islamabad.
  • Minorities Day-2015, has been planned to be celebrated at official level on 11th August, 2015 at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.
  • Nauroze-2015, of Parsi community was planned to be celebrated at official level on 23rd August, 2015 at Karachi, but postponed.
  • Dewali-2015, of Hindu community has been celebrated on 12th November, 2015 in Karachi.
  • Christmas-2015 of Christian community has been celebrated on 21st December, 2015 at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.
  • Eid-e-Ridvan-2016, of Bahai’s community has been celebrated at official level on 29th April, 2016 at PNCA, Islamabad.
  • Dewali-2016, ofHidu community was celebrated on 29th November, 2016 at Pakistan National Council of the Art, Islamabad
  • Christmas-2016, ofChristian community was celebrated at official level on 23th December, 2016 at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad
  • Holi-2017, ofHidu community was celebrated at official level on 24th March, 2017 at Pakistan National Council of the Art, Islamabad
  • Easter-2017, of Christian community was celebrated at official level on 18th April, 2017 at Pakistan National Council of the Art, Islamabad

  • Christmas Celberation as well as a function for distribution of Laptops and School Bags among the minority students of Balochistan was arranged on 15th December 2017 at Quetta.
  •  Christmas-2017 ofchristian Community was celebrated at official level on 20th December, 2017 at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.
  • Masihi Idol Gospel Prayer Competition programme on 18th December, 2017 at Paksitan National Council of the Arts, Islamabad
  • Holi-2018 of Hindu Community was celebratedat official level on 28th February, 2018 at Paksitan National Council of the Arts, Islamabad
  • Easter- 2018 of Christian Community was celebrated at official level on 2th April, 2018 at Paksitan National Council of the Arts, Islamabad
  • Eid-e-Ridvan -2018 ofBahai’s community has been celebrated at official level on 2nd May, 2018 at Paksitan National Council of the Arts, Islamabad
  • Chelum Jusht -2018 of Kalash community was celebrated on 12th May, 2018 at Bamborette, Kalash Valley, chitral
  • Dewali-2018, celebrations of Hindu community was arranged on 8th November, 2018 at PNCA, Islamabad.
  • Christmas-2018, celebrations of Christian community was arranged on 21st December, 2018 at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.
  • Holi-2019, celebrations of Hindu community was arranged on 26th March, 2019 at PNCA, Islamabad.
  • Eid-e-Ridvan-2019, celebrations of Bahai’s community was arranged on 26th April, 2019 at PNCA, Islamabad.
  • Easter-2019, celebrations of Christian community was arranged on 29th April, 2019 at PNCA, Islamabad.
  • Chelum Jusht-2019, celebrations of Kalash community was arranged on 1st May, 2019 at Bamborette Valley, Chitral.
  • Minority Day-2019 celebrations were arranged on 29th July, 2019 at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.
  • Dewali-2019, celebrations of Hindu community was arranged on 25th October, 2019 at PNCA, Islamabad.
  • Christmas-2019, celebrations of Christian community was arranged on 23rd December, 2019 at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.
  • Minority Day-2020 celebrations were held at limited scale owing to COVID-19 pandemic, by holding a cake cutting ceremony on 11th August, 2020 at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.
  • Dewali-2020, celebrations of Hindu community was arranged on 21st November, 2020 at National Sailing Center, Karachi.
  • Christmas-2020 celebration of Christian community was arranged at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad 23rd December, 2020.
  • Minority Day-2021 celebrations were arranged on 25th August, 2021, (as the 11th of August was falling during Ashura-e-Moharram) at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.
  • Christmas-2021 celebration of Christian community was arranged at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad 21st December, 2021.
  • Dewali-2021, celebrations of Hindu community was arranged on 25th October, 2021 at Karachi.
  • Holi-2022, celebration of Hindu community was arranged on 18th March, 2022 at Sukkur.
  • Chelum Jusht-2022, celebration of Kalash community was arranged on 17th May, 2022 at Birir Valley, District Chitral.
  • Eid-e-Ridvan-2022, celebration of Bahai’s community was arranged on 19th May, 2022 at Auditorium of National Library of Pakistan, Islamabad.
  • Minority Day-2022 celebrations were arranged on 11th August, 2022, at Islamabad.
  • Dewali-2022, celebration of Hindu community was arranged on 22nd October, 2022 at National Sailing Club, Karachi.
  • Christmas-2022, celebration of Christian community was arranged on 22nd December, 2022 at Prime Minister’s Islamabad.
